This stand certainly does not help my standing with the religious right, but it's what I believe.

Don't ask; don't tell does not work. Many fine soldiers and their leaders have been gay. Since the beginning of time.


Now, I don't want a bunch of drag queens in my ranks, but then neither do I want heterosexual nudists and sex-swap clubs all over base. What a person does on their own time is not my concern.

I see far more damage done in the armed forces by sexual harassment and other inappropriate behavior that MUST be punished harshly. That pertains to hetero-and homosexual conduct.
