Palestinians NOT Ready for Statehood

Over the past week, we have seen that the Palestinian "Authority" has been unable to control its only international border crossing at Rafah; can't keep the Islamic Jihad nutcases from firing rockets into Israel and can't even keep heavily armed criminal clans from shooting up its own police stations.

In other words, those who are supposed to be in charge, aren't.

In a case like that, any country affected -- whether it be Egypt or Israeli -- has the right and the duty to apply as much force as necessary to protect innocent citizens.

And until the Palestinians can behave like adults, then they do not deserve territory or statehood.

And until the Palestinians are willing and capable of living up to their promises, Israel should make no more concessions and no more promises. Peace is a two-way street but the Palestiinians seem to be driving the wrong way down a one-way road.
