The Asymmetry of Truth

The U.S. military has admitted that it planted stories in Iraqi newspapers. That is wrong.

But the enemy in Iraq will never admit they've done things like that and worse. But the global media is either too biased, frightened, lazy or incompetent to track down those stories.

Look at how many times fake stories run on Al-Jazeera and are given credibility. So who goes after the Al-Qraze people planting those? Al-Jazeera would start to gain some credibility as something other than a mouthpiece for Bin Laden if it were half as tough on him and his people the as it was on the U.S. But it doesn't and it won't.

The result? The U.S. looks bad and the bad guys get a free ride.
