The Blame Game
They are both playing the "blame game" and not fixing a thing.
The Democrats and most of the media are so obsessed with George Bush that they're missing the real news: that we have an intelligence system that is broken, that we have a homeland security apparatus that makes the Keystone Kops look like Special forces, and that they don't have any new ideas and all their good candidates will get shot down by the extreme Left during the 2008 primaries.
The Republicans are the gang that can't shoot straight. It's one bone-headed decision after another. And rather than just 'fessing up to the mistake and heading off on the correct course, they layer on one coat of justification after the other. They don't have any new ideas and all their good candidates will get shot down by the extreme Right during the 2008 primaries.
The ideological and demogogical polarization of both parties is good for my campaign, but I find no joy there because none of this political vaudeville is a good use of existing resources.
I'd rather not be running for President, but both parties are shaping up a future that's not worth living.
We need to bring some combat smarts to the arena. If you're in a fight for your life and one of your troops screws up, you don't stop shooting to have a damned investigation. Win the battle, fix the problems and then fix the blame.
Blame tears down. The future of America needs builders.
